After Forty Years

A framed portrait of a young sailor, his service certificate, and a contact sheet of photographs arranged on a wall in a new Florida home
Out of the closet, and at last on the wall.
For forty years, I waited in the dark of a closet. Now Florida light finds me: a young sailor, an old certificate, the face I carried through time. This is my new home. At last, I have a wall.
